Ive been Resurfacing Swimming Pools and working with Fibreglass and epoxy for well over 17 yrs now.
I Finished my trade as qualified shipwright having extensive knowledge in Composite Engineering
This allowed me to further my skills in the swimming pool industry.
Over the years we have come up against impossable problems/ situations with pools that many companies turned their backs on putting your pool in the too hard basket.
We however don't given our years of experience we have excelled with excellent results and solutions to over come these problems.

Many of the problems we face day in and day out is due to pure neglect after 30 yrs or so.
All these years of neglect, water, chemical and UV exposure you can imagine what we deal with for eg. rust and calcium build ups in concrete pools, cracks due to ground movement and trafficking and poor construction or tree roots, osmosis and blistering in fibreglass pools as well as buckled floors and sidewalls generally from being drained and left for extensive periods of time with no water in pool.
These are some of our every day problems and key areas we have turned our experience into our expertise in all of these repairs.
When it comes to restoration or resurfacing their is only two systems we use and recommend.
Both systems have prove their way .
Having been around for over 40 yrs have stood up and excelled through the test of time.
We use a known tried and tested system known as Aquaguard this system was developed by FGI industrys Specially formulated for swimming pool use.
This system known as Aquaguard was developed over 40yrs ago system basically encorporates a full fibreglass membraine this in turn adheres to all surface types - Fibreglass, concrete, marblesheen ,Quarterzone as well as fibro modular pools.
The advantages of using this method is fully watertight, does not crack or delaminate
Flex with ground movement and can be shaped to just about anything.
Included in the system is a great range of colours for your pool.
All pools are finished with a non skid pattern on stairs and other crutial areas for added safety.
The Aquaguard system is fantastic keeps clean due to inbuilt liquid wax in surface once cured nothing sticks or adheres to it.
With this system we are able toapplicate all year round and heavily advise customers to use the winter months to do this .
We service all of South Australia Even remote towns and Country/ rural Areas.

At Adelaide Swimming Pool Restorations we also specialise in epoxy painting for pools for this we only use the best paints on the market all pools are done with 3x coats to ensure maximum application for trafficking and cleaning purposes both systems are considered food grade safe and do not inhibit growth for piece of mind.
We also re-do tile line and all associated hardware fittings- skimmer box,jets, lights,and pool surrounds and fencing as well as pool modifications.

This pool is on old modular pool that had a vinyl liner fully resurfaced using Aquaguard system this colour is Sapphire Blue.
We called upon Shaun to resurface our pool.
Having looked into getting a vinyl liner redone.
We thought there must be a better option.As we were sick of the puntures and tears. Being a very old and delapitated pool we had our concerns if was even able to be done.
Shaun come in with his workers a week later and with in a week had totally transformed our pool to what you see now this system is amazing and has totally made our outdoor space a place of enjoyment not the old embarrassment it was before.

We have a huge concrete modular pool i decided to resurface my self using a chlorinated rubber based paint, this proved disasterous as colour faded in less than 12 months and did not stop the leaks having now but no options but to have my pool professionally resurfaced,
Shaun came came out to us over 5hrs from Adelaide with his tools at the ready peak of summer and said to me whole lot had to be taken back to bare concrete,
Shaun and his team pushed thru blistering hot conditions and did not shirk from their task he relined my pool with his system looked fantastic and was filled for xmas first time we'd used it properly in 12 years.
